slept in
read the following:

Paul Bowle's "A Distant Episode" (it's about a linguist without a tongue all by himself in an Arabic land; you can only guess where it goes from there)
Saul Bellow's "Something to Remember Me By" (funny highlights of Jewish life in Chicago)
Ray Bradbury's "There Will Come Soft Rains" (sciene fiction, futuristic, despair)
James Baldwin's "Sonny's Blues" (Harlem Jazz and what it means to play it)

Haven't found out how to indent or use the bulleting function yet

Tomorrow:

can't sleep in (which i believe is the #1 of cause of all unhappiness everywhere)
two linguistics classes (linguistically- and philosophically-based)

soccer practice
